Little Hope - Some people don't like this one, but it clicked with me.ĥ. Until Dawn - It's been awhile since I played this, so this could actually go up or down a spot.Ĥ. The Quarry - A little slow at times, but still great.ģ. House of Ashes - Perhaps the most action in this one and the setting/story is top notch.Ģ. If I were to rank them based on playing them each just once (and Man of Medan partway through a 2nd time), it would probably be:ġ. I haven't disliked any of them and I will definitely be buying The Devil in Me. Mostly relaxing and like playing an interactive horror move. I'm definitely a fan of their games since Until Dawn. I was going to post sooner with regards to the Supermassive games, but I decided to wait until I finished The Quarry - which I did last night. Only way to play this game is on survival. I would've liked the radio frequency to play a larger part in the mechanics of the game too which I thought was cool but unsettling at times. I'll never like RNG puzzles in a horror game especially one setup to be speedrun like this one. That's probably the biggest ding I'll give it. My biggest gripe with this game is it has RNG puzzles which means for speed run purposes I absolutely hate this design in horror games. Has a lot of good classic design like only 6 slots inventory so you have to make smart choices, what enemies to mow down with limited ammo, what routes you take, etc. It's a short game like RE but it's also worth replaying to piece the intentionally cryptic story together. Both make sense why there's not much there aside from the obvious budget restrictions. It has flaws but they're very picky flaws like enemy variety and facility having samesy looking areas. Playing through Signalis and it's a very good survival horror game.
